Hello, this is my first journal blog post entry or whatever its called.
I'm Charles, but sometimes I got by John or even Egor. I might explain the why in a future entry.
I am of Italian origins, I do apologize for any grammar mistakes you may find on here. I also know some Russian, my reading skills are ass and I'm more capable understandingth spoken language.
I've found an interest on journaling only a couple years ago, by looking at Spacehey blogs and by taking inspiration from online diaries I've found navigating the web.
Have recently decided to move away from the mainstream web (Xitter, Tumblr) and focus more on the non-algorithmic platforms available, so I decided to open a journal/blog on here too!
Initially I was more incline to join InsaneJournal, but the index page didn't load for me for some reason, the site seems kind of dead, and there doesn't seem to be as many people who share my interests.
There was also Blogger but it requires a google account, fuck that. I'm trying to move away from it.
My decision on joining Dreamwidth by mostly influenced by the choice of an artist ("drawer" as I like to call them) of creating an account on here. Sadly said artist recently deleted their page, oh well. Apart from that, this platform looks more active and seems like majority of my peers are on here.
As for why I called this page "Nautilus Pompilius", is actually because I really enjoy the ru-rock band and the handle was available :) .
I was considering going by "Akvarium", but it seems like there was already a user with that handle, even though it has been purged. It would've been nice to befriend them :( .
I didn't use any of my usual nicknames because *shug*, I wanted to be Nautilus Pompilius >:} .
Okay, onto the more personal stuff...
I believe this is all for now,
read ya

Okay, onto the more personal stuff...
- I enjoy listening to music, just like most of the rest of humans/people/users do. Some of what I enjoy are Nautilus Pompilius ofcourse, Akvarium, Foetus, the pAper chAse, Laibach, and most recently Agata Kristi. Well those are only the current ones, I might add a musical entry in case I discover something else.
- As a cultured fuck who swears a lot, I enjoy reading some literature. My initial approach with it was not ideal (fuck you Elementary school teacher), but I've grown to appreciate written words and paper. Some of the reads I have enjoyed thus far are The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Slaughterhouse-Five, Treasure Island, Hound of the Baskervilles, One Hundred Years Of Solitude, A Ciascuno Il Suo, the Discworld series. To noone's surprise, comics are also something I like reading from time to time; Corto Maltese, Samuel Stern, along with some mangas like #DRCL Midnight Childern and a few works by Inio Asano.
- Other more general interests are Wizarding World/HP (fuck joanne), soviet cartoons, old tech, and other stuff that doesn't come in mind right now.
I believe this is all for now,
